Sunswap Recognised as a Top UK Innovator in the UKII 500

Sunswap was recognised in the inaugural UKII Intelligent Report, highlighting the nation's top 500 trailblazing companies shaping tomorrow.

Sunswap has been recognised in the first-ever UKII Intelligent Report, spotlighting the UK’s top 500 innovative companies shaping the future.

The UKII 500 report “spotlights pioneering companies” across all industries, showcasing the incredible potential of UK innovation. Being featured on this list alongside other companies making a difference in their respective industries is a great acknowledgement of Sunswap’s progress since starting in 2020.

At Sunswap, we’re on a mission to decarbonise the cold chain with our zero-emission transport refrigeration tech. While the UKII 500 includes many sustainability pioneers, Sunswap leads the charge in the critical but often overlooked area of refrigeration. Currently, the cold chain accounts for 2-4% of the UK’s total greenhouse gas emissions.

Transport fridges are vital for delivering fresh food and medicine, but almost all units still run on polluting diesel engines. Each unit can emit up to 12 tons of CO2 per year, contributing to the greenhouse gas impact of refrigerated supply chain in the UK.

Sunswap Endurance, powered by batteries and solar, provides a sustainable alternative to diesel without sacrificing performance. We’re preparing cold chain logistics for a net-zero world and acknowledgments like this fuel our team’s passion to continue innovating.
