Job overview

The Production Manager will play a key role in leading and managing the production operations for Sunswap Transport Refrigeration Unit (Endurance). This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a focus on driving continuous improvement in production processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to achieve cost-effective manufacturing through continuous improvement initiatives while also improving on-time delivery.
  • Optimise manufacturing efficiency by employing metric-driven leadership and ensuring adherence to standard processes.
  • Oversee production activities aimed at improving cost and delivery performance.
  • Use root cause analysis to solve manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Ensure timely execution of the production plan to guarantee punctual customer deliveries.
  • Establish and enforce quality management systems to uphold the highest standards.
  • Manage personnel to drive daily production output.


Qualifications & experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Significant level of operational experience, preferably within Automotive or similar. 
  • Experience in production management of manufacturing equipment. 
  • Experience in new facility set-up and re-layout activities.
  • Sound knowledge of H&S & Quality systems (i.e. ISO 9001, APQP, 5S)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement techniques.
  • Previous leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to drive results, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
