Job overview

The International Aftermarket Manager will be responsible for developing, training and supporting Sunswap’s distributor aftermarket network across all regions outside of Europe. This role will ensure that distributors are fully equipped to deliver high-quality service, maintenance, and customer support for Sunswap products. Acting as the primary interface between Sunswap and its global distributors, the International Aftermarket Manager will deliver training, resolve escalated issues, and drive aftermarket performance to Sunswap’s global standards. This role will involve extensive global travel.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage strong aftermarket relationships with Sunswap distributors across all Rest of the World territories.
  • Deliver technical and service training to distributor aftermarket teams, ensuring they can independently support customers to Sunswap’s standards.
  • Train and educate technical leads within distributors, enabling distributor self-reliance for solving technical issues.
  • Act as the first point of contact for distributors on technical issues, providing triage, guidance, and escalation management.
  • Coordinate with Sunswap’s Aftermarket and Engineering teams to ensure complex cases are handled efficiently and consistently across regions.
  • Establish and monitor aftermarket KPIs for distributors, including service response times, first time fix rate, uptime, warranty claims and parts turnaround.
  • Ensure distributors are trained and compliant with Sunswap’s warranty, escalation, and service quality processes.
  • Conduct regular field visits to distributor workshops and service sites to audit standards, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
  • Capture and report customer and distributor feedback, feeding into Sunswap’s product development and customer experience processes.
  • Support aftermarket reporting, performance reviews, and distributor readiness assessments.

Qualifications & experience

  • Proven experience in managing aftermarket or technical service operations in international or distributor-led markets.
  • Track record of training and enabling third-party service providers or distributors.
  • Strong understanding of service quality management, technical troubleshooting, and escalation processes.
  • Commercial awareness of aftermarket revenue models, warranty structures, and service contracts.
  • Experience with refrigeration systems, HVAC, heavy-duty automotive, or related technical industries preferred.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to Rest of the World regions, e.g., Spanish, are highly advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Rest of World territories.
  • Qualification in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related technical discipline.
