Sunswap is delighted to announce Sapphire Vehicle Services as a new maintenance provider.

After more than 15 years of experience maintaining thousands of vehicles with over 200 highly skilled technicians, Sapphire brings industry-leading expertise that will ensure Sunswap customers receive best-in-class service.

Following onsite visits and trial demonstrations, Sapphire are set to expand with Sunswap’s regional aftermarket service, with Sapphire’s Peterborough and Hull vehicle maintenance units being the focal point of their activities.

As an F-Gas accredited and SafeContractor certified company, Sapphire brings an expert team qualified to service Sunswap’s cutting-edge electric transport fridges, trailers and integrated solar arrays.

Sapphire's Grant Tadman stands with two of Sunswap's Aftermarket Team, in front of a Sunswap branded trailer with Sunswap's solar and battery-powered transport refrigeration unit (TRU) - Endurance - attached. Alongside the Sunswap branding, The Endurance TRU reads "Welcome to Endurance" alongside smaller body text. To the right of the photo is the glass frontage of the Sunswap HQ.

Sapphire will also manage Sunswap’s stock logistics, which involves transporting parts to help maintenance run smoothly, thereby maximising the uptime of Sunswap’s transport fridges.

Further to this, Sapphire will assist with Sunswap’s busy trial service for prospective customers, including the trial units’ maintenance and the logistics of moving Sunswap trailers between fleets.

A key advantage of the Sapphire partnership is providing a one-stop shop where both the solar panel-topped trailers and their Endurance TRUs can be serviced in one go. This streamlined approach gets vehicles back on the road faster and reduces downtime.

Sapphire’s coverage of the east of England region is ideal for Sunswap customers operating in the area, such as DFDS and Staples Vegetables. This new partnership expands Sunswap’s existing collaborations with other maintenance providers, strengthening its nationwide aftermarket coverage and ensuring customers have access to expert service across the UK.

A statement from Sunswap’s Head of Aftermarket Ashkan Zadeh:

It’s brilliant to have Sapphire as a key maintenance service provider, they have a highly technical team with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, which will ensure we keep our customers on the road throughout the year.

Sapphire’s Group Commercial Manager Grant Tadman commented:

The team at Sapphire is both proud and excited to be working with Sunswap. It’s great to know that our technicians are supporting clean technology that decarbonises the cold chain, and subsequently helps to move the logistics industry forward.
