Endurance arrives in Spain: What operators saw on the first open day

On 25th June, Sunswap brought Endurance to Spain for the first time. The venue was SOR Ibérica's site in Alzira, Valencia, run alongside distribution partners SOR Ibérica and TIP. Spanish cold chain operators came to see the system in person: a full walkthrough, live operational data, and direct conversation with the team who built it.
It was a good day, with good conversations and some reactions worth sharing.
Two things stood out from the operators who came.
The quiet factor
The first thing most operators noticed wasn't a spec. It was the silence.
After years around the constant rumble of diesel refrigeration, the contrast was immediate. Several operators assumed the unit wasn't running until they checked the display and saw it was already pulling down temperature. For drivers spending ten or more hours a day in the cab, that's not a minor detail. It changes the working environment they sit in for most of their day, not just the noise on a spec sheet.
Range and solar, tested against real scepticism
Operators arrived with the scepticism you'd expect around battery range and solar collection. Most cold chain professionals have heard range claims before and have learned to discount them. Late June in Valencia is not short of sun, and it showed: the solar array had plenty to work with on the day itself.
What shifted the conversation was seeing actual run times from a single charge, alongside real operational results from Australia and Chile, where Endurance has covered long-haul routes with solar contributing a meaningful share of the energy used and battery still in reserve at the end of the run. Seeing the numbers from operations already running, rather than a projection, is what moved the scepticism.
What's next
Conversations that started on 25th June are continuing, with the operators who attended and with SOR Ibérica and TIP.
