The first six months of 2026 was Sunswap's biggest expansion yet.

Four new markets opened across three continents: France and Spain in Europe, Australia in Oceania, Chile in South America, partnering with Chereau, SOR Ibérica, Protran Solutions and Trailer Logistics.

Every unit is still built at the Sunswap Technology Centre in Leatherhead, Surrey, and shipped out to run in conditions ranging from a French winter to an Australian summer.

Across all fleets, Endurance units covered 6,319,387.7km, saving an estimated 130,771 litres of diesel and 340,004.7kg of CO2.

Proven at both extremes

Sunswap Endurance faced two opposite tests within the same six months. In France, it ran frozen routes for Carrefour through the depths of winter, holding -20°C for 21 hours straight on Prévoté's hardest routes, with very similar and longer runs in the UK winter for Store Logs.

Meanwhile in the Australian summer heat, Wickham Freight ran it 1,671km from Sydney to Brisbane and back, frozen and chilled simultaneously, using just 28% of its battery across the entire trip.

In Chile, Walmart Chile is running Sunswap on routes over 500km with 26 hours fridge on-time, chilled, with 76% of battery still in reserve at the end of the route. Chile's units are also recording some of the best solar performance on record.

Spain is at an earlier stage. SOR Ibérica is live as distributor and the first trials are kicking off following a highly successful Open Day at TIP Valencia.

Behind every mile logged this year sits Sunswap Shield, our aftermarket and predictive maintenance network, built to catch a fault before it becomes a missed delivery.

Built to scale, not just expand

The new Technology Centre came online in June, four times the size of the previous facility. We're set up for the growth of the coming years and can produce thousands of units from this facility alone to ship worldwide.

In Australia, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation committed AUD $10 million to support the rollout of Sunswap units into Australian transport fleets, funding for more than a hundred units to reach the market.

So, months into 2026, Sunswap has entered four new markets, moved into a facility four times the size of the one before it, and added a growing list of named customers running Sunswap Endurance on real deliveries every day. Half a year in, it only gets bigger from here.
